It was talked about some last night, but I went back to provide some side by side clips. The one on the top, from the Vandy game, is definitely a little slower. I'm pretty sure this was done in an attempt to provide some consistency. It clearly wasn't working so it appears they went back to the faster motion from last year. I'd say it worked!

Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture and this picture.

It's very similar, but sped up just enough to catch a few people's eyes.

If you listened to CJJ in the in game report, he said they changed Evans approach to preparing for the game.

It’s extremely subtle, and it’s one sequence that could be camera angle or any number of factors. But if you look closely you can see at Vandy he lifts/slides his plant foot, versus last night he does more of a pivot and it doesn’t appear to leave the ground

Assuming both pitches are identical, the only thing that looks different to me is the release point. Last night he kept the ball down.

Evans said in the post game interview that he sped up his process and worked fast like he did last year.

Sometimes the most subtle changes have the biggest change in result. His "changeup" had the most life this season last night. I sure hope that he has found his rhythm and can build off this outing for the rest of the season this team can be real dangerous on the mound again.
