Coaches convention is at the Final 4. Verge will have either made the move by then, or will at least be gathering some info in Indy.

Football is far and away more Important than pretty much anything at LSU…as it should be. Nothing else comes close to meaning as much to the school and the state.

What is more realistic: a football national championship or a basketball national championship? Football.
What brings in more money: football or basketball? Football
What has more fan support/enthusiasm: football or basketball? Football
That is why the big name coaches in football come to LSU or want to come. Basketball right now and last few years is at least 4th in most categories behind football, baseball, women's basketball, and gymnastics

Basketball succeeded baseball for most years before Skip showed up. But they have always been 2a/2b.

2 Women's basketball
