Even Cali voters are sick of Dems.

CA democrats have essentially told the bottom feeders to get out of the race to consolidate around one candidate. Swallowscockwell is the lead vote getter for the Dems but not by much. Said bottom feeders are claiming Muh racism.

If Hilton could pull this off, California would be a completely different state. His polling lead is extremely slim and *only* the top two vote getters - despite party affiliation- advance to the GE in Nov.

They just don't have a clear front runner Dem candidate is all. The D voters are splintered.

It's funny to imagine but a Republican won't be winning this race.

Agreed but he has 17% among a field of 8 or so candidates so that’s positive news.

Maybe Trump stumps for him in person?

If the Democrats can't consolidate, this favors Rs in that jungle primary system they have.

It'snot impossible. Would be ironic.

Right? The dems rigged the electoral system so that it only allows the top two vote receiving candidates to move on to the general election. Regardless of party. At least that’s how I understand it.

I’m sure the Dems have super majorities in the legislature so it won’t matter if the governor is a Republican. Arnie tried to circumvent this with ballot initiatives and failed. California is permanently screwed and won’t be fixed any time soon.

The two GOP guys have less than 40% combined. The Dems are just splintered. A Democrat will easily waltz into the governors mansion.

Jesus. That’s not rigging. It’s just a system. Louisiana has used it for decades and still does for many elections.

If some of the popular Dems don't start dropping out - soon - the "jungle primary" could end up with GOP vs GOP in the general. It's not exactly likely to happen but it would not be something earth shattering either and it has happened before, in the Alaska Senate race two (or four?) years ago for example.

Just a system? Cool, except it was put into place in California to expressly prevent one of the two political parties from accessing state wide ballots.

Rigging is rigging.

It’s one of the reasons that California complaining about gerrymandering congressional districts in other states rang so hollow. But hey, hypocrisy is for everyone.

Hence why Newsom is actually talking about prosecuting the people behind the hospice fraud scams. They see the writing on the wall now.

California is actually red.

California has lost a million conservative citizens that abandoned that state. That's why Florida keeps getting more red.

They will. This is fools gold. California is a shitty ran state and rampant with fraud. Fraud breeds more shitty choices. It’s like Dems can’t help themselves but take more shite from government thinking it corrects itself.

Maybe, but I can see California eventually reversing course down the road.

Hispanics are generally religious, family-oriented, and socially conservative. We saw that demographic shift toward Trump in the last election.

Hollywood is also struggling as studios die or are bought out, local productions decline, job opportunities dry up, industry workers flee, and more labor disputes appear imminent.

If Dems keep pushing further left, their policies and spending remain batshit, and the cost of living continues to spiral, I believe there will be a breaking point for those who remain.

1 needs to drop out so they don’t split the votes.
