Were you one of the estimated 427 individuals who witnessed the guys come up just short against a seasoned postseason juggernaut like UNT?

Beating Kentucky in the PMac 2024 was the mcPinnacle in this current regime.

And then proceeds to run off the guy who made that game winning shot.
Great management

That simply led us to the postseason!

That North Texas NIT game was more like the McNadir. It became the template for rejecting postseason bids-- a far superior LSU team with Ben Simmons had already rejected a bid a few seasons earlier.

Yea but he didn't have 10 million in NIL, just think what he would have done with that!

I’m not one to honestly gaf about ULL but Pear’s NIT win his first season over ULL was such an underrated atmosphere

Ward was not run off and you know it, but you just can't help throwing shite like the a-hole you are. The guy had personal emotional isssues that he left the team to deal with.

For those saying fans "never gave him a chance", the opening game of SEC play vs. top 10 Arkansas was a really good crowd. Particularly for a weeknight. And particularly for the students who, at that time, were still out on winter break. LSU won. They were on the cusp of being ranked (first team outside the top 25). Everybody celebrated. Then MM lost 17 of the next 18 games. Boner deflated.
It took until the Kentucky buzzer beater over a year later to get people somewhat excited. LSU was starting to look like it COULD play it's way into tournament consideration. The Miss. St came in and (as they have always done against McMahon) dominated the game. The lights got turned out that night and have never come back on.

That’s not what happened, you guys have done a complete 180 on the Ward situation

He also needs more NIL money -
(Imagine wasting resources on a loser like that...)

Yeah at first he quit because he wasn’t going to get much playing time with the talented roster McNugget put together.
Then when the team was still dog shite he was a missing piece that would have made a difference if not for his mental health issues, another obstacle thrown at McMahon that has been difficult to overcome, etc.

You’ll drive yourself insane arguing with the Mclosers. They seem to have an odd satisfaction being horrible at basketball and would prefer LSU MBB stay in the cellar for some reason.

This has gone completely McBust which makes him McBuster.

If we only knew how good we had it back then...

The guy that's a role-player at best now for VCU? Good riddance to that guy, his attitude sucked and you could see it.

Here’s another FACT for you:
The first round of the 2026 NCAA tournament began on 3/19/2026 and a Matt McMahon led team is NOT INCLUDED.
