Every day, it looks more and more like Trump/MAGA was a psyop

It's all starting to make sense.

I’m sure there’s lots of other testimony’s and sources of this.

This wouldn’t be a disgruntled worker that confirms the bias of those that give weight to the source.

It stands to reason Elon would have a more aggressive plan that what would be politically expedient to the White House.

It doesn’t help that the cuts the WH wanted to make or dared implement were cock-blocked by the courts seemingly every step of the way.

I wish a LOT more had been accomplished, but it wasn't going to happen with judges slapping every little thing down.

They could have not done any of this and just had Hillary win. Why go through all this bullshite?

It's possible it is all a psyop. Just seems they could have done this a much easier way.

He doesn’t sound disgruntled in that snippet.

I believe him. I also believe there's nuance to it. Politically and with the courts.

The split with Musk and the petering out of DOGE was the very first crack in MAGA. There were more. Enough now that MAGA has embraced "Never Trumpers". But yeah, we can blame anti-semitism if it helps people sleep at night.

Agreed. I would need much more detail to have an opinion on this because of the vagueness of the information we have. He mentions the cuts not being up to what the original hope of DOGE was. Well, that leaves me wondering what was the original goal in mind? Without a reference point, it's hard to take a side. What items specifically was the tension over? This certainly makes for a good headline, but objectively, more information would be needed to make a true determination.

Installing Elon — one of the most divisive and polarizing figures in the country — was the first sign that DOGE would never be a serious endeavor. Immediately turning what should have been legitimate and needed work into a circus wrote the story. It became a politically toxic endeavor from the outset.

I think Elon was a solid pick, that kind of shite is his bailiwick.

No matter *who* would have jumpstarted it, they'd have been Public Enemy #1... you have to know that.

This doesnt help. Another robed dictator.

Exactly.

People get pissy that Trump hasn't "done something" but fail to remember that everything he HAS done gets slapped down.

In order to get some spending cuts, they(the cuts) needed to be in the BBB. That was his opportunity to "do something".
