As an 80’s kid, I always thought this would be a bigger problem than it actually is.

For Gen X, we have waited our entire lives to see this moment in history and how humanity will endure it.

I was just having this conversation with some people a week or two ago. Funny how we were taught as kids about quicksand and every time we went near a river bank we would lightly walk if it was mushy

Kids today have zero fear of it cause it’s not prominent anymore. So weird

Right, and it's become a pretty popular internet meme now that pops up a lot.

Thus my comment.

From what I’ve seen on Gilligan’s Island, it’s pretty quick until the shoulders, then it slows down so you can talk about a solution.

This is about the third different story about quicksand in a year. The last one was about a guy who went missing and was found days later alive but stuck in quicksand. Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back on The Sand...

Another sign Hollywood is dead. When was the last time quicksand and ninjas were in a major movie?

Seems like every Tarzan movie from the old days somebody was sucked up in quicksand. Young boy that I was, it scared the shite out of me. But we always looked for it and if we found something like it in the woods, we would stick our toe in it to see if it was real. CSB

My 2 fears growing up: quicksand and straitjackets.

I'm racking my brain trying to remember an instance as an adult I've seen someone in a straitjacket.

I can think of a few times people deserved to be in one.
