LSU needs to get back in the business of recruiting the state and supplement the lineup from out of state

Agree 100% with that philosophy

Pretty sure Priester hit a hr in that game as well.

Don’t speak common sense please. The top ranked guys from Minnesota, Indiana, Massachusetts are elite for us and Jay recruits nationally.

I'll let Jay do his job. 2 of the last 3 national titles but posters here act like they know better.

What Jay is doing isn’t working, right?

He can still recruit nationally but also stop neglecting local talent. Everyone with a brain knows that Louisiana breeds baseball players.

He’s not neglecting local talent.

Catcher from Barbe that plays for Texas was objectively the better player and we recruited Serna instead. That’s neglecting local talent.
Also a few pitchers. The ones we have can’t throw more than an inning in relief.

Serna was the 4th highest rated catcher in the nation last year. Where do you idiots come from?

Serna was a top 50 player in his class.
Courville wasn’t even in the top 150.

That dude has 6 ABs this year. Nice troll attempt..“objectively”

Ehh I don’t think so bud.
It’s cool that SLU beat OU but LSU wins championships with guys from all over the country. We’re a national brand. Not a regional brand.
Skenes Crews and White are all out of state guys. That list goes on and on dating back so several championships

Rankings don’t mean shite as long as showcases are around.

He’s a freshman behind 2 other catchers. Don’t really expect him to have starter numbers. He’s a better catcher than Serna however.

Am I stupid or did Johnson not just win 2 national titles with plenty of out of state talent?
