Do any of you have a retractable hose reel that you would recommend? Are they any good and are they worth it? I saw an ad for one and it got me thinking it would be easier for my wife to handle and keep me from having to go roll up the hose after she waters her plants.
Thanks in advance!

Giraffe Tools. Started with one, ended up with 3 and can cover every inch of the house and within 100’ of it too.

tired of fooling with hose reels and the constant problems. the connection rots because it is cheap metal, or it starts leaking from wherever. swapped to the expandable hose with the bucket/pot looking thing. easy to move and easy to bring inside the garage in the case of a freeze.

I bought the cheapest one I could find a few years ago.
It's awesome.
Bought another for one side of the house last year.
Put brass quick connects on everything .

I had one of these at my old house in Georgia, and now I have two on my house in Florida. Would not have a house without them.

What ever kind you get, get a metal one. Plastic ones are cheaper, but they become brittle and crack, usually around the bolt holes.

Going on year 3 with a Vevor. Beats the hell out of rolling 100 foot up each time.

Second the giraffe tools. Have a reel that stakes into the ground. It's compact, nice looking, works well. However, I did have to replace the nozzle. The nozzle that came with mine was only plastic and broke. Got a metal nozzle and it's been perfect since then.

Ive had many Vevor products and I will never use them again. Not good quality and cheaply made tiktok chinese junk

Their nozzles don’t last long! I have replaced mine as well.
I like the stake reel idea too, especially being compact. I really want to try their wall mount pressure washer. Would help me get motivated to get out and wash cars and other vehicles!

All I know is 2 in a row busted between the hose in and the hose out and I need to replace the 2nd one. I'm considering not doing a reel, I don't know if it's actually easier.

Eley Hose Reels. I’ve had it for maybe 10 years now. Very durable.

You get the retractable? I worry the hose quality is poor in those.

It's the retractable. The hose quality is average...nothing special but is holding up well.
I do have it mounted in such a way as to be out of the sun/weather the majority of the day. You can pull a single pin and remove it from it's mount to bring it inside...I do that in the winter time.
