Will Scottie or Rory be playing this year? I imagine we will find out this week.

I highly doubt Rory shows up. Scottie has played in the past. So, I wouldn't be surprised if he was there, but I don't know how this year's calendar works for him.

Two weeks before the masters, I would imagine a good chunk of the guys show even with it not being a signature event.

Rory maybe not depending on his health, but could certainly see Scottie.

I’ll be surprised if we see Rory before Augusta. I would think Scottie plays. He needs to go light up the mules for a weekend to get his swag back.

Scottie’s wife looked pretty pregnant when they showed her after his American Express win. It’s been two months since then. That might effect his schedule over the next month or so

How is that course? I wish they wouldn't have moved the Chevron Open from Carlton Woods - as my daughter plays that course the week before in a tournament - now it's at memorial park… I assume it's nice but Carlton Woods was awesome

It’s really nicely over seeded and generally in good condition since they moved it. It’s not a challenge for those guys unless the wind is howling though. It’s a bomb and gouge with limited bunkers or trouble off the tee. Wind and undulated greens are the only defense.

PGA pros usually play this week, which is the last week of the Florida swing, or one of the two Texas events as a lead up to the Masters. So don't expect to see any of the big names playing this week in either Texas event.

Rory isn't playing this week so he will likely be in Houston or San Antonio for one of them. He's played at least one of the two the past two years. Before that, the warmup was Austin for the WBC match play.

He hasn't had a back injury all those years. Don't think he'll play if the back is bothersome

McIlroy was not sure what his schedule would be leading up to the Masters. He contemplated adding a tournament if he got in only two days at the Players. He said Jim "Bones" Mackay at NBC asked him, going down the ninth, what his plans were ahead of Augusta National.

"I said, 'Bones, I'll tell you after this hole. There's a lot riding on this golf hole,'" he said with a laugh. "If I had missed the cut, I probably would have added an event going into the Masters, so hopefully, I'm here for the weekend, and I don't have to do that."

Cam Young just committed to play. He knows the formula the past couple of years.

Win the players, play Houston open, win the masters. That’s the pattern of the last two masters winners.

Cam Young probably isn't playing again until the Masters. Guys who played last week at Valspar and this week in Houston are likely skipping next week as well.

It's sad but many companies give the father as much as 12 weeks off, that's crazy.
