For the bloodlust fools who desire a ground invasion, let's hear how it would go

... From a former Green Beret. Hope you're ready for a 10-20 yr war and 10s of Trillions of central Bank printed fiat currency that we don't have spent to invade a space that is essentially built like Mordor....for... What, exactly?
Cliffs:
- Marines Deployed: 2,200 Marines are heading to the Middle East to potentially seize Kargh Island.
- Island Tactics: Special forces use high-altitude jumps to quietly take control of strategic islands.
- Arming Kurds: The US plan involves arming Kurdish forces in northern Iran for unconventional warfare.
- Invasion Nightmare: A ground invasion is geographically difficult due to mountains and lack of Afghanistan bases.
- Nuclear Option: The speaker fears the administration might consider a nuclear option to force quick capitulation.
Future Scenarios: The conflict may end in a fake victory claim or escalate into a long-term war

Who is demanding a ground invasion? Specific names, please. TIA.

I didn't read all of that but it would be a nightmare which is why Trump would never do this and he knows it. They still have over 100, 000 regime supporters who all have weapons. My only hope though would be that they would run out of ammo very very quickly

No one is pushing for a conventional ground invasion of Iran with American forces. You’ve created this fiction in your own head.

The only bloodlust fools who desire a ground invasion are the libs here yakking about how this operation must include regime change in order to be a success
And they don’t even desire it they just want to say it’s a failure when we don’t have a “ground invasion” or “regime change” :( which you/they will feel they are in charge of defining).

This.
Also, all these foreign policy experts have been 100% wrong on the strength of Iran and its proxies for the last 50+ years. Every time Americans were killed by these psychopaths, we were told appeasement was the only option b/c they would kill millions if we retaliated.

Who is desiring a ground invasion???

Invasion would be a bad idea. However, I do not mind sending in a small force for a specific mission such as taking out batteries threatening the straits OR if there is uranium underground that our bombs can't reach, I have no problem sending in troops to seize it or take it out.
But wholesale invasion? No.

Maybe I missed some big thread topic but who exactly is rooting for / calling for a ground invasion?

Hence my point that the Neo libs will define this as a ground invasion or not depending on its level of success.
If this is successful they will yammer about how it’s not regime change and yell for more boots on the ground. Anything to be invested in the failure of this operation.
They suffered through Biden overseeing the debacle that was Afghanistan pull out. They need (in their mind) failure here to use against Trump.

We should send in the straw men he just made up.

That goes the other way, too. We see a bunch of threads where people create strawmen that if you oppose this conflict or think it may go bad, you're anti-American.

I disagree, though not entirely. Ground troops in Iran would be a slog, no two questions about it. And if we're going to go with ground troops, then we have to be willing to be there for a long time so we get Japan instead of Iraq. The Shah wasn't some great time for most Iranians, bikini clad Middle Eastern women aside.
But I've read of no one wanting ground troops. Plenty of warranted criticism at Trump over this, for a variety of legit reasons, but that's not any different than any other military excursion made by a President. All critique is legit, and it doesn't make one a cuck or a communist or a lib or anything else, despite what Tubby and most of you say.
