Well it’s obvious that regime change is an objective, but to what end
Color me shocked you list regime change as the only objective of all the objectives you don’t know about
Almost like you got regime change right out of the lefty talking point email.
Followed right up with the “ this is like Iraq “ talking point.
What’s obvious is you either don’t know what you’re talking about or you are intentionally being disingenuous.
You’re pushing for ground troops because you need a body count.

B) the people surrounding Trump all supported the Iraq War until about a decade ago. Rubio, Hegseth, Waltz are all big time neocons and only recently changed their tunes on nation building when it fell out of favor in the GOP.
Tell me a war that we have won without ground troops? I am waiting.
And, this why we need to get out of the war business. More of the government military complex mucking up things. The neocons stoked Trump’s ego to bomb Iran. What has Iran done in the last five years that has directly impacted the average American. How about focus on building infrastructure in our country. Louisiana could use two new intestate bridges.

quote:Hopefully, the Iranians will see the writing on the wall. We have oberated their entire military infrastructure . All they have left is the well fed troops. Meanwhile, they just killed 30K protestors against their government. Think the average Iranian is going to support that regime? IF we land troops, it will be on that island that controls the strait. If they decide to launch artillery, rockets, or mortars at it, they destroy their own infrastructure that make their oil exports possible. They are in a really bad spot. So bad, no leader dares sticks his head up! They have their proxies launching whatever they have at Israel, while we are killing their entire leadership and sinking every boat short of two guys on a pontoon with cane poles.

We don't need a full evasion, just take that island, open up the shipping lanes, and sit back and watch tie dominos fall. China is about to put immense pressure on them. That you can count on.

Can you provide something more concrete for your made up (I.e., fake) assertion?

Yep. Right after you require the same from the OP as to why he is pushing the false narrative that anybody is desiring a ground invasion in any sort of a conventional manner
He made that up out of thin air. Which you are OK with.
Presumably that means we can all make up our viewpoint on it out of thin air no?

This is going to be like nothing that has ever happened before. There will basically be a guerilla force with bad arse air support. Basically a slaughter.

Kharg Island
That would do nothing to opening the straits though.

That we're over two weeks into a war we started and nobody even knows what our objectives are should tell you everything you know.
The objectives of a war should not be secret. That should've been the first thing the public is told.

Why? We can stop their shipments of oil in much easier and safer ways than invading an island in the northern Persian Gulf.

Kharg Island is the primary oil export hub for Iran, handling roughly 90% of its crude oil shipments. The small island in the Persian Gulf hosts a massive oil terminal that connects via pipelines to major onshore oil fields, with capacity to store roughly 30 million barrels and load multiple supertankers at once.
It is the backbone of Iran's oil export infrastructure.
Thats why alter. And its why we are gonna occupy it. We are taking the oil

Because you have to sell an American war to the American public.
You'll understand when Trump is impeached AND removed for this. Republicans will be demanding it ourselves by May.

It was sold using the nuclear threat from Iran line. Personally I know that’s nonsense but I don’t really give a shite. Besides, Americans love war. It’s our national pastime.

I appreciate your chatGPT response to what Kharg is. We probably will take it. But in the short term I don’t see it as a primary target for invasion. The islands in the strait are much more important to opening up the global oil trade

And the straits will open immediately. Despite you thinking it wont
