I just got finished cleaning and had a guest over. She asked what was that smell and made an ugly face ... the smell was bleach. Of course I don't like sniffing bleach nor would I buy a bleach fragrance but I like the smell. To me it's a sterile clean smell. And it's high quality Clorox bleach ... not store brand.

Burns my sinuses. When I was younger I cleaned everything with it, can't stand it anymore.

If you think that smells good, add 1:1 bleach to isopropyl alcohol. Mmm, a great smelling chloroform. Try it!

Are you Arab? Because Arabs love the smell of bleach. They think it makes their house seem clean and if it doesn’t smell like bleach then the house is dirty.

Not necessarily bleach, but chlorine? Yes.

...high quality NaOCl, not that store brand NaOCl.

I worked in the chlorine industry. Bleach is bleach.

I used to like the smell of gasoline when I was young, but it seemed to change at some point. Maybe it's the ethanol? Or maybe it's just me.

Yes. One of the reasons why I like working in a plant so much. The smell of Chlorine and Ammonia is so lovely.

I love the smell of over-bleached hotel bath towels.

Reminds me of bad old folks home.

Throw in masked faint smell of urine, and brings me right to Lafourche parish at great aunt’s place way back in the day.

Always reminds me of the YMCA ... very clean but unusually sterile, like even more than a hospital.

So, dichotomous to me but overall I prefer clean over perfumed smells in common areas.

get an ozone generator for 40 bucks and the fresh smell is there, and it destroys mold spores

I have an uncle who owned a gas station from before I was born until I was in my mid 20s, but his two sons, my cousins and I are close in age and went there with them as a kid, in college they worked there and I was always stopping by, coming or going. And I have always loved the smell of gas and tires. I still do.
