Turned 46 last week and realized that I'm officially closer to 70 than 21. It wasn't a debilitating thought, but I still dwelled on it way more than I should have.

Also read the other day where LSU has only won one SEC championship since 2011, even though it seems like the Honey Badger teams were just a few years ago. Made me realize that in 15 more years I'll be in my 60s, and that was a little frightening.

How do some of you rapidly aging O-Ters keep yourself from dwelling on getting old and not letting it bother you, because I need to learn.

It's normal to feel that way. We're not youngsters anymore and some of us start dealing with health issues, which fricking sucks. You just gotta stay positive and power thru it.

Live life well everyday and take nothing for granted...is formula that has filled me with great memories, purpose and hopefulness on future. I am older than you, and btw...happy birthday!

If still stuck on age (not life), here is 1 more to gloom the mood: The Miami football team that just played in NCG were not born during Miami's 2001 team run.

On the flip side (an old vinyl reference - ha ha), your dog is your best friend for part of your life; yet, you are your dog's best friend their entire life. You have a long life. Live it!

Therefore, get life in perspective and enjoy it! Time is precious. This should be taught in school.

I do the same and i hate it. Bums me out.

Being in my mid 40s is not a fun thought at all. I’m really close to 60

Go ahead and buy a coffin and put it in the middle of your den as a constant reminder.

Take one day at a time and get the most out of it you possibly can. Spend lots of time with family and don’t be afraid to try new things. Fear holds us back from having a really fulfilling life more than anything. Trust me, you have a lot of days ahead of you to make great memories. Biggest thing I learned from my dad is don’t get old having a lot of regrets about things you should have done. Live life to its fullest.

Then, fill it with ice and beer. Turn on some music. Dance on a table like no one is watching. Hug your family. Serve others. And then come home and watch some LSU sports with friends.

Can always get more coffins. Just not more time. Enjoy life!

Think of it this way, you don’t have one more day. You have one less day.

Every day is one more day to be my wife’s husband and one more day closer to spending eternity with Christ.

Those are the two aspects in my life I concentrate on the most every day. Everything else falls into place.
