Boasberg blocks FED subpoenas

A federal judge in a scathing ruling blocked subpoenas issued to the Federal Reserve as part of a criminal investigation of its chair, Jerome Powell, by the prosecutors in the office of U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro, a court filing showed Friday.
Judge James Boasberg said evidence showed Pirro was motivated to investigate Powell because of a desire to get the Fed chief to bow to President Donald Trump’s will and cut interest rates quickly and broadly.
“Did prosecutors issue those subpoenas for a proper purpose? The Court finds that they did not,” Boasberg wrote in the decision in U.S. District Court in D.C.
“There is abundant evidence that the subpoenas’ dominant (if not sole) purpose is to harass and pressure Powell either to yield to the President or to resign and make way for a Fed Chair who will,” the judge wrote.
“On the other side of the scale, the Government has offered no evidence whatsoever that Powell committed any crime other than displeasing the President,” Boasberg wrote.

I think we can all agree - this Boasberg Activist Federal Judge is a democrat operative. Tasked with the job of stopping Donald Trump and impeding Congressional Inquiry into suspected democrat fraud schemes.

Not a fan of this judge, BUT it is crystal clear that DT was coming after Powell for not doing what he said. That’s fricking bullshite and condoning it means you are either clueless or complicit or both.

Do you even know WTF this is about?
The Fed has MASSIVELY overspent its construction budget to the tune of ONE BILLION DOLLARS! Powell was given multiple attempts in Congress to explain the overruns. He failed, and by some accounts, he perjured himself in the process. Do nothings in Congress did nothing. So the DOJ requested specifics about the expenditures. The Fed told the DOJ to pound sand. So the DOJ filed a subpoena for the transactions. The Fed continues to refuse to provide the information under the guise of independence.
The FED COULD END THIS BS within an hour. Just produce the GD records! The fact it refuses is telling. Likewise, no one knows what the subpoena is requesting. The Fed could release the contents of the subpoena. The fact it's even refusing to do that would indicate that just the request is extraordinarily embarrassing to the Fed or Powell or both.
Independence does not equate to unaccountability.
