Louisiana Tech set for 20-Game Football Slate

Sun Belt had been planning for a Friday release of the schedule. Word started to slip out so Conference USA panic released a schedule at 8 pm last night during the middle of the basketball tournament

I think people needed to be explained this since most have no idea what is going on.
Both Conference USA and Sun Belt think LaTech is in their conference so they both scheduled them for conference games. LaTech wants to leave CUSA for the Sun Belt in July and CUSA is trying to make them stay in the conference. They had a race to release their schedules so that LaTech would be on "their" conference schedule.

Conference USA has been so petty in this deal. Last week they threatened to pull both the basketball teams out of their tournaments using some obscure marketing materials showing a non conference member rule. I really hope both the men’s and women’s teams win their tourneys so Tech is the only CUSA member in the NCAA tourneys.
