U.S. Customs & Border Protection/DHS will provide a link only for importers getting refunds. The hope of getting a $2000 cheque from Trump is toasted.

Howard Lutnik bout to get paid! Imagine the guy writing your tariff legislation making a bet that his own recommendations will get shot down in court.
It's almost as though he didn't want them to hold up. If he doesn't get heavily investigated, then this admin will lose the little amount of credibility they have left.

Who actually thought this this was anything other than an idea that Trump spitballed out loud? Because for anyone who was actually paying attention and understands that Trump sometimes has ideas that he spitballs out loud, they never had any real belief that this would happen.
Even at the thought of the possibility during peak scuttlebutt on the board when we were all talking about it after Trump made the suggestion, the overwhelming majority of us openly professed that we'd rather the money be used to actually pay down our deficit instead of getting a check.
