What’s the incremental stress and work for an additional kid?

First one about to hit 2, wife says want second but I can’t imagine doing this again. Kids are so damn hard to raise and the future don’t look so bright these days.

Parents of the Ot with 2+, how hard was it

Buckle up, there’s a bigger jump going from 1 to 2 children than 0 to 1 child.

How is this possible? We’re in toddler stage and I have no time to think.

Depends on the age gap. Had our first two 15 months apart and it was 10 times harder than just having one. 8 years between second and third and it was pretty easy.

Exponentially harder. You love your first child to death. Now take those feelings and double it. It's difficult but doable. Great times when they get older though.

Have two under 3 right now. It’s wild. I’m losing my mind with all the chaos and crying.

But I love them lol

Less than 2 you can play man 2 man or zone. After 2 kids you are forced to play zone. Thats all i got.

I thought 0 to 1 was harder because I went from well rested to well tired. 1 to 2 wasn't bad because we could each handle a kid and we were already tired at that point. 2 to 3 is hard because we are now outnumber. It's not easy or cheap, but I greatly look forward to a bunch of kids running to my car with a kingly greeting when I get home from work. They are a lot of fun, and you will never regret having more!

Right now it’s 2 : 1, it becomes more difficult when it’s 1 : 1 and 1 : 2.

Hire an au pair, my recommendation is Scandinavian.

I currently have 3 in high school at the same time!

1 kid was easy, 2 wasn't much different.
The third kid is where it became expensive.

You'll need a bigger vehicle. Can't fit 3 car seats in a Civic.

Most hotel rooms are designed for families of 4. You'll have to get a second room or a roll away bed.

Houses, we made a 3 bedroom work, but it wasn't ideal. It's cramped.

Vacations - most theme park rides are designed for 2/4 riders. You'll have to take turns.

Biggest change from 0 to 1
2nd biggest from 2 to 3
3rd biggest from 1 to 2
After 3 you jus have a lot of kids

So I’ve been told.

Exponential. It's so easy to find a sitter for one, nearly impossible with 2 (would probably cost more than the night out).

Have 3 within 5 years of each other, it is insane but they'll typically be into the same things all at once.
