Jason Cammisa drag races the Corvette ZR1X against Lucid Sapphire…it’s nuts.

And it’s worth the watch to see what 1200+ horsepower does off the line. It’s astounding how insanely fast these road-legal cars are, and how much power can be put down with modern traction control systems.

The proliferation of talent in the production sector has been insane. Underrated development for sure.

i think hollywood and the media were not really threatened because they thought "what's some dude with a camera in his backyard going to do," not realizing that there are actually talented people outside of Los Angeles and New York

Why do they call driving an electric car drag racing?

Do you have to dress up as a woman to drive one?

How do you post on TD with your hands full of pickaxe and hard work?

Well electrics are definitely faster then gas in the 0-60. Havent watched this video but I will. I know an electric Porsche 4 door taycan is their fastest car. Something like 1.8 seconds 0-60. Would probably be a bit scary.

The Lucid Sapphire and the Corvette ZR1X would both dust the Taycan.

This is my first time seeing this guy, though I am surprised because I watch a channel called Carwow out of the UK that does a bunch of insane drag races like this as well.

I'll have to add this channel to the rotation. I enjoy the slow motion updates along the way.

Agreed.

And both would have better resale, one significantly so.

I love the Corvette E-Ray. But a Z06 or ZR1 with that flat plane V8 sound......holy smokes. That's pure sex on wheels.

The Corvette team did the right thing by moving the engine behind the seats for this generation.

Is the ZR1X awd?

I can't get 660hp of the line aggressively without losing traction.

Yes. Electric motors to the front wheels. 1000 HP to the rears.
