The Pels are 7-3 over their last 10. I think it’s safe to say Dejounte is 100%.

Looks like the Pels dodged a bullet with his achilles and might just have a guy to keep instead of offload after the season. He and Bey are the exact type of player this young team needs to give them a kick in the arse. They both have that dog factor that is very infectious. This was a very fun game to watch. Big props to Yves Missi too! He’s becoming a shot blocking, offensive rebounding monster.

The way we're looking right now, this is who is under contract:

PG: Murray [32.79 mil] | Fears [7.9 mil]
SG: Jones [14.9 mil] | Poole[34.1 mil] | Hawkins [7.02mil] | McGowens [2.58mil]
SF: Murphy [27 mil] | Bey [6.44 mil] | Peavy [2.15mil]
PF: Williamson [42.2 mil] | Queen [5.4 mil] | Matkovic [Free Agent]
C: Missi [3.5mil] | Jordan [Free Agent]

Looney - 8mil, club option
Matkovic - 2.3mil, club option
Jordan - free agent

I think its easy enough to say we'r'e going to keep Matkovic and Jordan for depth purposes.

Now the question becomes, how do we move on from the 41mil of Poole & Hawkins and not ruin ourselves? Is it taking on a player like Myles Turner who has regressed, but still provides a 3&D center. That'd be promising, but then you'd need/bank on Queen & Fears taking the next step or at best you'll be a play in team.

DJM was excellent tonight.

We look so much better with him out there.

Your best player and team leader comes back and the team looks better. I’d have never thought it tbh.

We really need a quality starting center. That's what is missing right now.

While I certainly agree we've played really well over the last 10, the schedule has been a cake walk

Philly with no Embiid
GSW with no Curry
Jazz twice
Lost to healthy Clippers and Lakers
Kings
Lost to healthy Suns
Wizards
Raptors

These last 15 games will be more telling.
11 of them are against teams with a winning record, and 1 more against Portland who's fighting for the playin just below .500
If they can win 8 or 9 of these last 15, i'd be very happy about the way this season ended in the last 25 games with Dejounte's return.

Yep, keep JB, no major roster changes, run it back with another sub 30 win season. I’ve seen this playbook before.

So this was a good move by David Griffin?

We are only 9 wins away from actually covering the total wins projection of 30.5. Crazy…..

I didn't say any of that, or imply it.

I want to see Zion traded this offseason, and I don't really care if it's for another good player, or if it's for draft capital. Just ready to move on from his lazy arse who can't score in the clutch and has done nothing to improve his game in 7 years. Everyone else on the court has to adjust how they play when he's in the game b/c of his inability to do anything offensively other than drive left to the goal, and his laziness getting back on defense, as well as his actual half court defense when he does get back.

Dejounte is the absolute perfect mentor for Fears! I would like to apologize because I was unfamiliar with his game.

He made plenty of good moves and picks and a few head scratchers. He also got dealt a bad hand with their prize pick being a lazy POS bust and the other “star” being a giant puss. And I don’t even care for griffin but he wasn’t all that bad

Murray shows no signs of losing his athleticism, cutting and stopping on a dime ability, lift on his jump shot, speed, and lateral movements and quickness. That really changes things a lot if he truly wants to stay.

He looks way better than Tatum right now where you can tell Tatum is coming off of injury because more than half his shots are 3s whereas Murray's shot profile is the same as his pre injury profile and there's absolutely no hesitation in his play. It's really encouraging and optimistic for the team going into 2026/2027.

Zion not living up to his potential, Jaxson Hayes ending up being a huge bust, and trading Hart and NAW for McCollum were the moves that prevented us from taking the next step. He made a lot of good moves and draft picks though. The thing is every Pelicans player outside of Deandre Jordan was acquired via draft or trade. We don’t get FAs, meaning you have to bat a lot higher % on big moves.

That’s all great and everything but this actually gives Dumars more bullets to “ Run it Back” next season without any changes. All we’ve done is beat tanking and subpar teams

They've played like 5 games together since Murray and Trey returned. Still a very small sample size. Not enough games to say what they are and what they aren't yet.
