Earlier I said if McMahon isn’t fired I won’t be shocked. Now I’m starting to lean towards, if he is fired I’ll be surprised. He really should have been fired today. Tomorrow is it. If it doesn’t happen tomorrow LSU is screaming loud and clear that it does not give a rats arse about basketball.

I’m as bearish on McMahon as anyone on site and even I wasn’t expecting (or even hoping) for a firing today. It’s the common joke here but McMahon does not ruffle any feathers. It’d be bad form to tarmac the guy when the guy hasn’t embarrassed LSU (not counting results on the court). It was a given that Autry from Syracuse was going to be canned and that didn’t even happen until the day after.
We have to hope that the process leading to a new coach will happen. However, for all of his warts, McMahon doesn’t deserve to be embarrassed or made a spectacle of.

I agree he doesn't have to be tarmacd and embarrassed but he sure has been an embarrassment for Tiger basketball fans!

Do you not remember the BK ordeal? The AD can’t just swoop in and terminate a coach. It takes Board approval…. Which takes way longer than Rantards can stand

You put too much of your self worth into sports if lsu being bad at basketball embarrasses you. The dude’s point was, McMahan is bad at his job and it’s time to move on; however, he’s been nothing but class so he deserves the same from LSU when terminating him. Firing a dude hours after his last game isn’t how you treat people who deserve respect as people. McMahon is a good person regardless his his deficiencies as a big time basketball coach

I don't think you're firing McMahon unless you're injecting instant juice into the program. That means Will Wade.ypu're not hiring or announcing Will Wade tomorrow no matter what so there's no hurry.

So you and Mcloser are good friends and you know what kind of person he is? Regardless as a basketball coach he is an embarrassment and you don't hire someone because he is a good person to coach the basketball team you hire a good coach which he us obviously not!

Never seen a bigger situation of group think. You giant pussies. Get a life outside of 19 year old kids shooting a basketball. Listen to Max talk about the impact his coach had on his life. It's as if bragging to your hillbilly friends about winning and losing is more important than a grown man helping young men become the best version of themselves.

If it doesn’t happen today that doesn’t mean it won’t happen but I will not have a good feeling if it doesn’t happen today
