and I would not be surprised to see another swing OT, 0 or 5 tech with the second round pick.

In a perfect world, Tate falls to you at 8 and somehow McDonald falls to you at 42. If Staley could create his ideal NT it would be him. After him it would be Lee Hunter if McDonald is gone.

By round 3, who knows but names that I would consider for day 3 would be:

Jadon Canady
VJ Payne
Treydan Stukes
DDS from Penn State - doubt he falls out of the 3rd Round
Corleone or Orange if you miss out on McDonald or Hunter
Cole Brevard as last resort 0 tech
Kaden Wetjen - UDFA

This is about as good/lucky as we can get. These are perfect scheme fits at need positions

Is this basically because we haven’t added a WR in FA yet?

You can find day 1 starters at WR in the 2nd and 3rd round. Edge on the other hand is a different story. If David Bailey falls to you you take him over any WR on the board. If David Bailey falls out of the top 5 you trade next year's third and swap firsts to pick him up.

Yes. We have no WR's. Don't believe anything our QB or FO says about our WR's, they don't value them. Anything said about them is a lie. They all need to be replaced.

We have a WR3 playing WR1, a WR4 (almost retired) playing WR2, and a complete certified bust at WR3 with no upside.

We are most likely drafting a WR in the 2nd or 3rd.

Styles, Love & Bailey will be gone by 8. Loomis will have to decide between what position gives you a better chance to win, WR or Safety (Downs).

That is more likely and he would fit Staley NT very well

maybe but we only need 3 of these 4 Fano, Maugiogola, Bain, Tate to go before us to have Styles Love or Bailey available.

Teams that draft in the first round, and especially the top 10, with this mentality are the perennial losers

Not saying this is what I would do, I would take Love or Downs in a heartbeat.

With the way the cap is now and how players are paid, you really should be taking a QB, LT, WR, CB or DE in the top half of the draft simply because of the 5 years of cheap play you will get from a premier position.

I think everything is pointing to DE or WR right now.

Everything is pointing to defense in Rd 1 and a WR in Rd 2.

No way we pass on any of the (4): Bain/ Downs/ Bailey/ Styles for a WR. We are guaranteed 1 of those guys and have a chance to choose between 2 or more of them.

We only replaced 1/3 starters on defense and still have Godchaux/ Shepherd starting without a future plan. We have bigger needs at #8. We honestly have bigger needs at #42 aswell but the WR value drops after that.

Even if Bailey/ Styles/ Downs are gone I'm not convinced we take Tate > Delane.

Bain/ Tate/ Delane is kind of the next tier now.

Not if we are smart and Kellen Moore comes off as smart to me. He’s already hit the hardest thing to find which is a good QB on a rookie deal with a pair of bookend 1st rd tackles to protect him. We need defense. Whoever out of Delane, Downs or Reese is still there is the choice. We can go WR in round 2 or just trade for a WR since we have 6 picks in the first 150 selections.

None of those WRs are worth the 8th pick. I’d rather take Love even with the Etienne signing over those guys. At least he’s worth the 8th pick.

It should be Styles, Downs, or Delane. I’d even be fine with an OT like the Miami guy if those other guys are gone.

Grab Chris Bell, Brazzell, or Branch in the 2nd and 3rd rounds if you want a WR
