If only we could go back to having important games to lose to anybody.

At least he bet him a couple of times. Your boy hasn’t beaten Bama, Auburn, Texas, Florida and Tennessee. McMuffins Is doing what he does best… losing by double digits.

I remember the potential game winning play was 100% Trendon Watford with no actual ball movement or play.

Just like LSU wouldn’t fork over the 200 million it took to fire Kelly and staff, and hire Lane and staff? The narrative LSU won’t spend when they need to is ludicrous.

Those buyout numbers are misleading. McMahon is on the payroll. He will cost less over the next several years if he is let go (80% vs 100% of contract). The additional money is Wade’s buyout at NC State plus Wade’s salary at LSU. Our current staff has some expiring contracts so assistant coaches are less expensive than they would have been last year. It really isn’t as huge an obstacle as some people make it out to be when you look at the annual difference in cost.

Just so we’re clear: LSU would have to pay $15.3 million — $10.3 million buyout for McMahon, $5 million to NC State — just to sit down at the table to have talks with Wade.

In no way is he even close to worth that and if Verge does pay that for a program that turns a small profit, he's not very bright.

LSU made a little over 2 million from basketball last year.

By Contrast Alabama made 9 million.

Assuming hiring Wade brings you in at least an additional 5 million a year, that is paid for in 3 years.

You cannot afford not to make the change.

Yeah they should definitely make a change, but it won’t be Wade

You clowns think money grows on trees. "We can do anything we want" nonsense. Spending $$ doesn't mean wins. Look how much Kentucky has spent. They might not make the round of 64. BTW, LSU spent all that money in its FB program to go to meaningless bowl games. Nothing is guaranteed with LK either. Lsu thinks its an elite athletic program in all sports, when in essence, baseball, gymnastics, WBB, track and field has been more elite than FB, and MBB. The FB program has gone to 5 BCS bowls, and 1 playoff appearance since 2000. Yes they've won 3, so the math means that championships are accomplished every 8 years. Dont give me this "we have won with 3 different coaches BS." So has Alabama, USC, Miami, Ohio St. I love the Tigers, and the athletic program as the next guy, but the reality is , all the money they spend on the major programs, hasnt produced jack shite. Time will tell with LK. They ain't firing MM. For the record, I'd take the HC from SFA 100x over than WW. No baggage

It would turn a bigger profit if the program wasn’t total dog shite. Mcnugget only draws a fraction of the ticket sales and donations that baseball does.

You conveniently left out any point. Probably because they would all sound ridiculous.

Well it’s not 15 million at once retard.

It would be 80 percent of McLosers salary pending he doesn’t get a job to supplement that each year.

Also Wades buyout drops April 1 so we would just wait a few weeks to hire him.

So it’s more like 1M we drop immediately and then 8-9 over 3 years plus whatever we paid Wade.

If you didn’t live in a trailer you would probably understand how the real world works and learn to look up and read contracts.

Another reason to bring back Wade. He won here previously just using funds from his wife’s checking accounting. He’s so committed to the cause he doesn’t need an NIL and covers the cost of players out of his personal accounts. Can’t get more stand up than that.
