What people continue to fail to realize is over taxing the rich never works. They are rich for a reason: they are smart with money. They will continue to move their money and operations to greener pastures whether it be somewhere else in the US or overseas. Politicians keep thinking "WE GOT EM!" then come up with their hands completely empty.

They voted for it

We dodged a bullet with Kamala and her plan to tax "unrealized gains."

Decades late. Every CEO they've had in the 2000s should be sued by shareholders.

was there ever a real plan? Because I glossed over a few of the ideas and none seemed to give any detail how it would actually work or be implemented

I’d be surprised if there was actually any detailed plan

The problem is they move to different parts of the country to escape the taxes…but do they bring their voting habits to the new area of residence?

Could be wrong but Nashville is expansion, not shuttering Washington State re: Headquarters

I don't think there was anything serious behind it. Kind of like when Mamdani said a bunch of stuff that even Governor Hochul couldn't get behind.

They say this stuff often and loud and it galvanizes that far left into getting off the couch and voting. Then when it doesn't happen they blame Trump or republicans, despite the idea being a non-starter in the context of our basic laws and constitution.

The Netherlands just passed a 36% unrealized gains tax and their wealth is fleeing before it goes into effect in 2028

We will see how it turns out to them

I also noticed Starbucks went back to labeling restrooms “men” and “women”.

Look at all the British movie stars and rockers during the 60s and 70s who fled Great Britain when it was over 90%. Yes, 90%.

Makes me wonder if that’s the Democrat plan all along.

Throughout the history of tax hikes, they fail to bring in the revenue as advertised.

If you want less revenue always increase the price, so simple a caveman can understand it.

is it like

‘You own one share of that stock, its value went up $100 in the last 12 months. You now have to pay the Government $32 out of your pocket for owning that stock!’?

Yup, they are that fricking retarded. Nothing like crushing any and all investments into businesses.
