Concrete floor, woodworking shop use. Oil & gas resistantance a plus.

Also, best, non-fogging safety glasses?

Thanks for recommendations.
Getting into doing some wood projects, though I currently I am an expert at making sawdust.

I just bought a pair of Origin Ironside Chelsea's with the wedge sole. Only had them about five days so I can't give a long term assessment of them. I was looking for a good pair of USA made boots which they seem to be well built. Probably going to order a pair of the Statesman Chelsea's if these Ironsides break in nicely.

I like their jeans and shirts a good bit.

Seems well-made.

Red Wing Iron Rangers. Just keep them oiled and they'll last forever with resoles every decade or so.

I wore Red Wings offshore, but that was a long time ago.

Wasn't sure about current quality, but they were indestructible back then.

I've been wearing my current pair daily since 2022. I use them for hunting as well as work. They'll look pretty much destroyed after a week or two trip but I'll clean them up and they look pretty much new.

They probably are.

You can get Chinese, glued together Ariats for $150 and toss them when they wear out. Or you can go with something like Redwing or the ones in the link and get good construction and minimal man-made materials and they'll last as long as you take care of them. Just get them resoled as needed.

If you're going to be on concrete all day get the Vibram wedge soles. Someone suggested the Iron Ranger, and I have a pair, but you do not want their traditional sole for standing on concrete all day. Vibram does make a more traditional looking sole out of the same material but I don't know who all offers it.

I am wearing a pair right now. I have been having them for over a year. I love them, but boy they are a motherfricker to break in. I can only wear them a few days a week cause where they rub against my legs get chafed.

Red Wing pecos never let a man down. Just make sure you get the right size and IMO they feel great from day one.

Danner Bull Run Chelsea. I ordered a pair about 6 months ago and wear them everyday. They may be the lightest boots I've ever worn. I've got a pair of Thorogood 6" Crazy Horse Moc Toe in steel toe and non safety toe under my desk right now and hate putting them on, they are so heavy and uncomfortable compared to the Danner's.

I also love my Blundstones. Very light and comfortable. They are the only pair of boots I want to wear anymore.

And I have lots of boots from almost all the big brands.

agree I had a pair and they were trash. Never again.

Also had a pair of the 1957 upland boots, the tongue was too narrow and the boots didn’t lace all the way. Hauled them to goodwill new in the box.

The best is Nick's Wedge Work. Followed by JK's Forefront.

I fricking hate moc toes. You're introducing another point of failure for no reason. Seen plenty of them blow out.
