Wednesday I welcomed my first born into this world

My wife gave birth on Wednesday morning to a happy, healthy little boy
Both mama & little boy are doing great... mama was awesome all the way through the process
These first few days of fatherhood have been tiring yet amazing.
I can't wait to teach him some of the best things about the world... like 2019 LSU is the best college football team ever, Drew Brees is the GOAT QB & the Dome Patrol is the best defense assembled, & there's no place to catch a baseball game like Alex Box
We won't talk about LSU basketball & we'll just power through the Pelicans history
I know there will be lots of ups & downs to come but I'm looking forward to this journey

It’s a fun ride.
Scruffy’s daughter is 2 now. It’s been a blast with all the firsts.
Congrats. Enjoy every minute, even the late night crying.

Subtle ‘I had sex brag’
Eta: Congrats. You’re life is about to pivot, for the better. These will be the good years. Enjoy the suck, then really enjoy the rest.
Congrats again homie

Congrats on a boy. I have 2 teenage daughters who take all my money and hate me.

Just wait until he starts puffing his chest out and booting up to you. And drinking all your beer out of the fridge.
Juniors fifth year has been a true test in the Saint household. Maybe things get less hectic once he starts Kinder.

Congrats! Our daughter (only child) turned 7 months old today. Sometimes it feels like the days are weeks long and the weeks feel like a day. It’s been a wild ride but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Da Da was her first word that she said recently and absolutely melted my heart.

Congratulations!
Remember, you and your wife have different roles in raising him. You're trying to raise a good adult. That's more important than Turnbull and Burrow. If you don't hold the line, and resist your wife's urge to hand him an iPad "so you can eat dinner in peace," you will have a problem. We rolled my son out to a steakhouse in Houston for his first outing at 90 ish days and just gave him some meat to gum out. Quiet as a pea.
But once you cross that iPad Rubicon, you've dug your own grave.
I'll never forget what I said the day we brought my son home the day after he was born. It was St. Patrick's day, I opened one Guinness after he went to bed (great for milk production while nursing, btw,) newborn shite happened, and I said, "I can't negotiate with terrorists!"

He might not be yours. You don’t know for sure.

The days are long but the years are short. As my youngest just turned 11, it’s achingly true. They change and I get sentimental, but also I enjoy their growth.

Yes indeed there will be lots of ups and downs but please dwell on the ups and let the downs be bygone fading memories.
I got to hold and rock my latest (15th) great grandchild for over an hour today and it doesn't get much better than that. She has had a tough life as she was born with major heart defects and has had two surgeries (1 orthoscopic and one open heart) in her first 10 days, but the doctors have done wonders and she is home now for a few weeks to build up strength until they can do the really big double valve replacement operation that is supposed to set her up for a few years.
She is a little sweetheart and we all feel blessed to have her among us. We pray for her continued progress and look forward to a brighter future for her.
