Why does getting behind the wheel of a 2 ton + projectile turn people into absolute morons

If the average person on the road is as stupid as they drive, we are fricked. No turn signals, can't maintain speed, hit brakes for no reason, etc....
$100K Range Rover and Escalades holding their phones up to their face. Every late model car has cruise control, many with dynamic cruise, and Bluetooth. WTF?

I got my driver's license in 1975 at 15 years old. You had to take a real written and driving test to include parallel parking and 3 point turn. I could only drive to school and work with no passengers. Turned into a regular license at 16. I guarantee you that 75% of the people on the road couldn't pass those test today. Cities are missing out on serious revenue by not enforcing basic driving rules.
