I love Curiel, and I know it won’t happen bc of recruiting promises, but Curiel is our 3rd best defensive outfielder and it’s been made pretty obvious on a few occasions already this year.

Traditionally I’m more of an “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” type of guy, but JJ knows what he’s doing.

Curiel is a good CF but that ball was a test that great CF’s make. Tougher play for a LH but still.

If you make the correct read and play the ball correctly it’s a glove side play for Curiel.

If he's not out of position thats a routine fly ball. Idk if someone put him out of position, or if he put himself there.

Stanfield literally stayed with the knowledge from HEADCOACH (capitalized for a reason) Jay Johnson that if he stayed he would not play centerfield.

Hes comfortable with it

Jay's comfortable with it

Im comfortable with it

My dogs comfortable with it

Your parents that made you are comfortable with it

Give "it" a rest

The best centerfielder should play centerfield, period. bullshite recruiting promises and favoritism is not how you sustain success.

If a guy thinks Stanfield is a better option and provides reasons then why shouldn’t he be able to say so?

This was an argument in July

Right after Jay told the entire country that Curiel was going to play CF this spring

Jay told Stanfield Curiel would play CF

Thats not changing right now

I dont know why this is an argument

Because nepotism is cancer, and it spreads rapidly. In sports, every job is open, always.

You must have forgotten Stanfield against Auburn last year. It was rough

At least Curiel was trying to navigate an awkward outfield wall he'd never seen before. Stanfield, on the other hand...

Don’t you think it’s more relevant now than it was in July? Considering we’re in season?

I mean Stanfield didn’t look too hot that series either.

Correct but he had no clue where the ball was going so then he starts turning around and now he's all screwed up. A glove side fly you should not be turning all the way around

No, he isn't. But Stanfield is our best outfielder.
