Years of weakness and appeasement has caused this.

We now have a president who knows our capabilities and doesn’t give AF.

I love it. After 47 years of the US doing absolutely nothing about their hundreds of attacks against US soldiers and interests, he's bombing these mother frickers to hell. After the Venezuela thing and now this, every other world leader knows damn well this dude means what he says and has the ability to frick their shite up.

It started with Eisenhower, Operation Ajax, and the U.S. deposing Mohamed Mossadegh for wanting to nationalize Iran’s oil.

The blowback to that was the Iranian revolution and the taking of our hostages.

It started bare minimum a good 20+ years before that, dude. The CIA installed the Shaw and they overthrew him during Carter.

Picking a starting point is always arbitrary. Really you can only point out crossroads - points at which consequential decisions were made and other options passed into history unexercised.

In the 70’s the Shah could have brutally cracked down and preserved his throne for decades. He didn’t. We had a lot to do with that. It wasn’t the start of the problem, but it was a crossroad at which we took a wrong turn.

Maybe we should have let Mossadegh nationalize the oilfields. Maybe we should have let the Shah crack down. I know this: before 1979 we should have done SOMETHING different.

We’ve come a long way from condemning the war hawks like Lindsey Graham and promoting isolationism.

We should have done something different alright, like staying the hell out of their affairs. Mossadegh was anti-monarchy and anti-Islamist. He believed in secular, civilian parliamentary governance which is exactly what Iran needed at the time. Unfortunately, heavy pressure and sanctions from the UK and eventually the US threw their economy into a tail spin. Not even the Shah supported ousting Mossadegh, it took numerous threats to “convince” him to agree.

The Turks used to have tall poles skewered with human heads at their border crossings to create fear. Humans still fear, with great emotion, and the enemies fear must be fertilized daily.

Turn it up I say!!

I mean, that’s a $4 million missile taking out 1 $50k drone in one clip and the other clip the destruction was a little more efficient, one $4 million missile taking out 4-5 $50k drones.

I you are a MIC missile contractor you love this but if you are trying to win this war these clips are not a good demonstration of winning the missile attrition game.
