Support independent media.

It has its flaws but is vastly better. You can just ignore cuckolds like Dave smith.

American media is a business platform, not a news organisation.

The NYT, WaPo, NBC , others, exist to sell to Democrats. MSNBC has bonkers ratings in 2017-2019 by knowingly lying about Russia collusion.

Fox is a behemoth because it caters to center right. It also features a decent number of Democrats in daytime, not nighttime.

There is now countless options for eyeballs and models suggest down the middle isn't appealing, but going full breitbart or HuffPo isn't either because you have a ceiling.

A bigger indicator might be english media in Britain. The BBC and all print media has carried Labour for decades. There's a reason they are trying to limit the reach of Twitter.

On the macro level, "media" is a matter of funding. CNN and MSNBC operate the way they do, because their owners allow or condone it.

CNN just got bought up with the rest of Warner, by Paramount. I understand the ownership there has different perspectives, and thus different emphasis on how things are presented. Let's see if that results in a change of approach there.

Ridicule them at every turn of the screw. Support independent media.

CBS is moving in the right direction. CNN will be too. Bari Weiss is not conservative, but she does seem fair. CBS News is described as a den of woke snakes, so progress will be slow.

What needs to be reformed is the Constitution that allows for the protection of anti- American vipers.

Treasonous speech is not protected, but the outdated Constitution does not spell that out clearly and specifically. It gives cover to seditious judges to make bad rulings.

I don't often "fall" for bullshite. Time will tell though.

Two early moves were telling IMO. One was Weiss' decision in December to postpone a “60 Minutes” segment about a notorious prison in El Salvador where deported Venezuelan migrants were detained because the reporting was partisan propaganda. The other was Bari Weiss personally inserting herself in CBS News meetings on coverage of Israel-Hamas just after her arrival ( LINK).

The CBS newsroom was basically serving as a TDS-riddled Hamas propaganda agency at that point. Weiss "audaciously" asked why CBS had not reached out to Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the architects of the president’s plan to end the war in Gaza to get first-hand information. Scheduling those two was an obvious move for a real newsroom. Her query embarrassed the shite out of resident wokesters. Claudia Milne was an early scalp, but there have been others.

quote:

“We are not producing a product enough people want,” she said, while dismissing day-to-day Nielsen ratings as an outmoded benchmark. “What winning looks like writ large for this company is building incredible journalism for audiences that are so much bigger than the one that we currently have,” she added.

Her rallying cry was intended as a reset of sorts, a chance to cut through the suspicions that Ms. Weiss, a frequent critic of the mainstream news media and founder of the independent site The Free Press, is trying to tilt CBS News into more pro-Trump territory.
---

She also announced a new roster of CBS News contributors with viewpoints spanning the political spectrum. The group includes Andrew Huberman, a neurobiology expert who is a popular influencer in the so-called manosphere; Niall Ferguson, a British American historian who frequently writes for The Free Press; Casey Lewis, a Gen Alpha Substack trend-spotter; and Coleman Hughes, a Free Press contributing writer who has argued for “a colorblind society.”
---

She framed the future of CBS News in stark terms, warning employees that it would be “one hell of a fight” to keep pace in a rapidly changing business. And she told her team to be more nimble and innovative, calling CBS News “the best-capitalized media start-up in the world.”

Ms. Weiss also warned that employees who did not subscribe to her vision may not wish to remain. “It’s a free country,” Ms. Weiss said. “I completely respect if you decide this is just not the right place at the right time for you.”
Her challenge was underscored by a lengthy question-and-answer session with employees, who asked about her decision in December to postpone a “60 Minutes” segment about a notorious prison in El Salvador where deported Venezuelan migrants were detained.

Ms. Weiss said that she held the segment because she believed it required more reporting, and that the decision was hers alone. “I was not pressured by David Ellison or anyone else,” she said.

At that time the founders were only concerned with preventing corrupt leaders - there was no '5th column' and the "press" was individuals with their ink beds and letter trays in a 'press'

AND more importantly - the founders were concerned with protecting a MORAL and RELIGIOUS population - they have NO IDEA that the nation they bequeathed us would allow such rotten dishonest seditious traitors as we have today getting cover my a national 'journalism' arm feeding garbage to a willing pigsty of corrupt idiots.

Crazy how flawed the people interpreting the Constitution are. Literally, most of it speaks for itself. 1st was to protect an honest media from a dishonest government's retribution. Was never a license for media or anyone else to lie.

Do what I did in 2020. Turn off all mainstream media, and don't go back unless they prove, for a prolonged period of time, that they are capable of just reporting the news without a political angle and propaganda/gaslighting.

Yes, you'll probably be turning off the news permanently. But you'll be better for it.

Yikes! Perhaps you should research the election of 1800, just 12 years after the Constitution's ratification.
