Just won the sheriff’s election more than doubling his incumbent opponent who arrested and charged him.

He is technically ineligible if he is found guilty before he takes office. He has a general election coming up but he’s guaranteed to win that as a republican in this county.
But it’s a good sign you’ll be found not guilty when your jury pool thinks you should be the sheriff by a 3-1 margin haha.

He won the Republican primary yesterday. OP linked an older article saying Aaron Spencer is running for sheriff.

In that county, and most of Arkansas for that matter, winning the GOP primary for sheriff is winning the election.
The general election is just a technicality.
