Props to Politico for highlighting how POTUS is crippling Chyna while the rest of the MSM writes fluff obituaries for terrorists

quote:

President Donald Trump’s latest attack on Iran takes a big economic bite out of one of America’s chief rivals: China.

Over the span of two months, the Trump administration has removed the leaders of two countries that both shared China as their most important crude oil customer. Although China buys oil from nations all across the Middle East, Iran was second only to Saudi Arabia as its supplier last year, according to a POLITICO analysis of data provided by market research firm Kpler.

Almost all of Iran’s exported oil, and more than half of Venezuela’s, went last year to China, which remained one of the only purchasers of goods from the two heavily sanctioned nations. The two countries combined represented some 17 percent of China’s overall oil purchases — a meaningful share for the world’s largest importer of crude oil.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Saturday said it was “highly concerned” by the attacks on Iran and called for an end to the war. The squeeze on China’s energy supply also comes just weeks before Trump is slated to hold a summit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

This plus Venezuela puts China and BRICS in a tough spot.

Some believe this isn’t about nukes or Iranian people but is about preserving the US Dollar.

Some others believe this is also about taking the dollar from cash to digital only currency before the end of the Trump presidency.

I think it is primarily about nukes/iranian people - Trump has been calling out Iran even before he won office his first term, its clearly a big policy goal to him personally and he knows if he doesnt do it, his successors wont do it

But agreed BRICS/China probably factored into the decision. POTUS is systematically dismantling the axis of countries that were conspiring to destroy the dollar

This is a rational argument in favor of why this needed to happen.

We cannot lose reserve status until we’re on stable ground economically.

We should lead with this messaging not Bibi shouting about nukes for decades after we “eliminated” them just months ago.

Trump is fighting a covert economic war against China with minimal risks. The media/liberals are too stupid to realize it.

China is massive, and doesn’t bow to environmentalist nut jobs, why aren’t they just drilling their own? There’s got to be oil under the dirt there too. Right?

China produces a significant amount of oil, but it’s not enough to meet their domestic demand.

China has some oil deposits but not nearly enough to meet its domestic demand. They only have 1.6% of known global oil deposits while they have 20% of the worlds population

A true and common sense, altruistic Leader of the Chinese people would just drop the whole Military spending thing and lend those considerable resources to the people. Nobody nearby is going to invade China if they abandon CCP Ideological hegemonic expansion. They could compete and prosper in the economic competition as their people are very industrious and disciplined. "Swords into plow shears" as it were. Bold leadership which truly would set the bar high re the International Stage.

Why not? The US has zero desire to impose Constitutional Republic Democracy on the Chinese people via 'regime change'. Their people can handle that if they want to or accept the status quo if it works for them. Just like in Iran, albeit hegemonic Iran was absolutely an existential threat being that the Mullahs were Religiously sworn re "Death to America". Nuclear weapons in play.

Hell, the US will be pseudo-Socialist within a decade given that AI will displace millions of honest and responsible workers. Many of whom hate their jobs anyway. Why should they bust arse when many other irresponsible citizens just lay up, or worse...given that "an idle mind is the devil's workshop" for many. Freedom is not for everybody, only the "moral and religious people".

AI extraordinary power should be used to give people free time for their families and general spirit. Not to enslave them or be a means of suicidal warfare mechanisms but to lend true freedom.

We can face this dilemma or let AI tell us the whole truth, and ignore it. Kicking and screaming to our own detriment.

Times are fixing to change big time. It's coming.

If China jumps on Taiwan in the next few years and we're able to repel that invasion, there will be no doubt whatsoever as to who the global hegemon is. We already are, but that will further solidify our position. China is dying. Russia is dying. There's no one left.

There’s no if about it. China will take Taiwan and besides providing limited resources we’ll stay out of it. Why do you think Trump is moving Taiwan manufacturing here

I think we'll defend Taiwan because it won't stop with Taiwan. Taiwan is strategically important in keeping the PLAN bottled up within the First Island Chain. Taking Taiwan would be the first step in breaking into the wider Pacific and even the Western Hemisphere.

Trump appointing Colby as the policy chief in the pentagon is about as strong an indicator as there is that he would defend Taiwan. Colby is a massive China hawk

So.

This might force China to act now vs later. I might be okay with that.

I dont want them building any more ships/drones/missiles If they want to get down.

Almost as though someone had a strategy.....!! Some many of these folks expressing "concern" aren't capable of or willing to acknowledge is that Trump and his team are out thinking, out planning, and out executing his TDS critics here in America and the rest of the world!!!

More good times to come!

I really think a lot of this is about Taiwan.

Both Iran and Venezuela relied completely on China's military tech and both were defeated rather easily.

China has said that Taiwan is theirs. The US wants Taiwan to stay independent.

China is sitting watching what we are doing and having real hard discussions on what their capabilities really are.

Plus, breaking some of China's biggest partners and their supply of oil has to give them pause against any actions toward Taiwan.
