Or will the Rebels get violent? They have a lot of suppressed grief and rage. When you combine that with alcohol and a glimpse of their future after the first half, I’m afraid things could get out of hand.

Just stay home and watch it on TV and you will be safe.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

How safe will it be?

I don’t think the OP is saying they’ll kill him. but I was once a young dumb college drunk at a football game… no telling what could happen

Chances of violence are slim to none if you don’t play a hand in it, though with that said I have zero desire of attending that game because the non violent stuff will undoubtedly be dialed up

Yeah and can’t afford to get in a fight either…don’t want a criminal record.

I miss the days when Ole Miss were the happy losers. They were friendly and expected to lose so could have fun about it and laugh it off. But Lane has seemed to rob them of their innocence, but not expectations. Imagine being in a drunken environment where Lane comes back and also robs their expectations. Not risking that.

It’s not the Oakland Coliseum or Dodger Stadium, so you should be fine.

You’ll be out numbered. Don’t talk shite. Laugh at the ribbing. There will be plenty of fights to go around for the college kids and pledges.

Stay home. And imagine how bad it could be if we win.

Things will definitely get out of hand. A lot of their fans are legitimately insane, in a dangerous, obsessive stalker way, not a "LSU fan stuck his fanger in my booty" way.

It's guaranteed they're going to throw hard objects at Lane.

I've been to several LSU/Ole Miss games and tailgates in the Grove and have never witnessed so much as a shoving match. Their fans are arrogant but not violent.

Sounds like a DQ is coming for Ole Miss. Can’t see them being able to start the game with all the trash their fans will throw.

The field will start to look like India.

There will be a lot of hostility, probably most we’ve seen as a fanbase, and some fights.

I’ve been to Oxford many times. It’s a really fun time if you have tailgates to go to. In previous years they’re one of the more least hostile fan bases around, even when they’re really good.

But things do feel a bit different with Lane going to LSU. Just don’t be a douchebag and you’ll probably just be called corndog a 100 times.

And if you’ve ever been to a road game, just remember folks get rowdy as frick when they win…so also hope we win the game
