If tweet fails to load, click here. Makes sense why he played like that all year now

and Kelly played him anyway

What happens when you get paid 3 million before the season with no strings attached

Not against his will
Injured Nuss was the best option

And that injury started a butterfly effect for the program. If he doesn’t get hurt we don’t have LK right now

and BK's asinine decision to risk the season just to win game 1 with Nuss cost him nis job, not that he cares.

There's blame to go around here. The truth is Kelly knew even a Nuss throwing checkdowns was better than MVB.
I'd also be curious to know if Nuss compensation would change if he was out for the season. Could have played into this.

So they knew he was hurt bad, they couldn’t diagnose it, and they still decided to play him against Southeastern and Tech?
Seems like every decision Kelly and his staff made last year is inexplicably dumb.

We may look back 5-6 years from now and realize this was the most impactful injury in the history of LSU football.

With knowing the injury as fact now from fall camp it was amazing to see the oc call for a deep throw to start the southeastern game. No warm up the injured qb just go deep baw.
It was especially obvious Nuss could not make the throw as it came up short. We now know why for sure.

I remember him being on a "pitch count" early on in fall camp and assumed it was a shoulder or elbow they were protecting and didn't want to be honest about it to hurt his draft...i was wrong

I remember sitting in Vaught Hemingway vs ole miss last year and saw up close how badly he underthrew a WIDE arse open Chris Hilton streaking toward the endzone. Juxtapose that with the velocity he had in 2024 and the incredible throws he made in the SEC championship game in mop up duty.
He just wasn’t right.

No they win the national fricking championship. And kick Indiana's arse.

WTF were we doing in fall camp to have our potential Heisman candidate, top 10 QB in a position to get injured anyway? And then on top of that we play him against Tech and Southeastern? Kelly is so indescribably idiotic.

If Underwear signed with us would they have played him?
Posted on 2/27/26 at 11:11 am to JimTiger72
right. The accounts of MVB is fall camp were that he was missing receivers while when they were just going thru routes. No defense.

I can understand why he would play Nuss against Clemson. What I can’t wrap my head around is if Nuss was hurt why he was playing against Southeastern and LA Tech.

I bet bettors wanted to know that.
