Changed his tune when Willie got fired. But he could have ended all the hearsay easily with a tweet or a leak to the media when it came out.

That's why I never said anything bad about DJM. He seemingly got poopooed on for no reason other than his long recovery. We have our starting PG back.

Hey, I’ll take it. He seems to want to ball and win. This alone doesn’t mean anything, but we could use a little fire and we absolutely need to figure out if want him as a key piece going forward.

Of course he never requested a trade. But he did have Rich Paul let people know that he would be quite happy to play for another team.
Since he's stuck with the Pelicans for the rest of the season, though, he's now decided to fire himself up. He needs motivation to play well, and he knows it. Fake it till it's true.

It had nothing to do with his long recovery and everything to do with fragile Pels fans and years of mismanagement from the FO.
The only thing Murray did was call out our FO/ players and make people accountable. Which is the exact same thing fans have wanted for 20+ years from someone who can be a leader.

I want to trade DJM, but hard to hate on the attitude he had in that last tweet. Wish all the guys felt that way. But not way we are making the play in.

Good point. You surely got nothing from the GM’s office. Someone at least speaking to the fans. We got more answers from him than the Front Office.
