After what they are giving Brian Kelly, does this guy really think that $8 Million will save McMahon's job?

LSU Tigers
Athletic director Verge Ausberry raised the temperature on Matt McMahon last month, telling the Baton Rouge Advocate he'd made it clear to McMahon that the Tigers needed to make the NCAA tournament, or he would be forced to "reevaluate." After a 12-1 start to the season, the Tigers are just 2-12 in SEC play, struggling mightily with star point guard Dedan Thomas Jr. sitting out most of conference play because of a foot injury. McMahon hasn't been to the NCAA tournament in four years since arriving at LSU, and he's just 16-52 in the SEC during that time. He would be owed about $8 million if fired -- which, along with the injury issues, could ultimately play a role in McMahon trending toward returning for another season.

This is mind blowing.

He hasn't even been close. We snuck into the NIT in his one "good" year.

Just goes to show that roster building at Mid Majors and roster building at power conferences is a totally different skillset.

Not when you have a coach that can't win more than 3 conference games per season

I remember when Coach Mac was considered an excellent hire. Majority of that rhetoric came from Tiger fans. Yep, I am bringing up old shite!!

If LSU were to bring McFRAUD back please take away the golf cart and the donuts … it’s pretty petty and embarrassing…

JackieDaytona, who if there is a better LSU insider I'm not aware of him, stated McMahon will be fired and Wade is likely his replacement.

Well when you suck at your job you get fired.

How many times and ways do you people need it explained that the decision to fire him or not is financial and not production?
This has been repeated ad nauseum. You're acting like there's some bastion of support for him somewhere that's preventing it.

No, we all know you’re the only one out there who doesn’t see the light.

As much as I want this I see only 2 reasons this would happen.
1. NCState isn’t living up to their NIL expectations that were stated to WW
2. WW wants to return as a
Though if it happens will better imitate this gif walking into his PC

He was a hot name in that cycle. I know it is hard to believe now, but it was true then.

Boosters care about football
Not many seem to care about basketball

I know South Carolina was high on him. I think Florida was too believe it or not.

Man, I was giving this some thought, and something occurred to me that should have before, but for some reason did not. McMahon was hired at LSU in the very first year that NIL became legal. So some of the things you have looked at for a new coach, like the ability to recruit players using traditional methods or to convince players to go to your university over another based on future earning potential beyond college, maybe won't matter anymore.

Every basketball coach hire this century has been exciting. Remember Trent Johnson, who took Stanford to the tournament multiple times, Johnny Jones the prodigal son and even Will Wade.

If McCantWin is such a nice guy why doesn’t he resign take 2mill along with the 12.4 he’s already stolen and call it a day. Surely someone will hire him somewhere unlike CBK
