On both sides of the teams. Do your job, raise a fist at the end, but stop with the Mick Jagger chicken strut if you strike someone out.
Jesus-tap dancing- Christ.

There’s fun. Then there is being a douchebag and showing your opponent up.

Having goofy gestures with your teammates after a HR? Fun.

Basically telling the batter to “get the frick out” after you strike him out for the first out in the 3rd inning of mundane midweek game? Douchebag

Basketball polices the DB behavior with technical fouls. Football just polices itself with physical retribution, plus unsportsmanlike penalties. The MLB polices the DB behavior with guys being drilled by 98 mph fastballs.

College baseball just lets it go. There in no real equivalent of a technical foul for taunting an opponent, nor do the pitchers drill any out of fear of getting suspended for some ridiculous amount of games.

Call me crazy, but I don't think attempted murder is the correct response to getting struck out.

If you don't want to be stunted on, then hit the fricking ball.

But they look like fools, often times, on the next at bat. As evident in this game.

That's not the point. I'm watching an LSU pitcher take a lap and then hit the guy next at bat. It shows lack of concentration. Sports are fun, but they also have a professional component. It all depends on what kind of team you want to be. Is LSU out to have fun on the field or do they want to get to Omaha? I wonder if Nick Saban would have allowed that. Do your job. Celebrate at the end of an inning if you come out ahead.

If you hit a HR you flip the bat, if you strike someone out you throw your hand up and tell them to go sit down. This is a competition, a battle, they work all year to prepare. This ain't golf where it's you vs the course, they are playing against people who gameplan and prepare all year to beat them, god forbid you get a little juiced when you come out on top. Stop being such a weenie.

The crowd noise too. The player did his job…no need for all the clapping, hooting, and hollering.

I hear what you’re saying, sometimes they do to much. But if anything it provides them with confidence to believe in what they are doing. And honestly a lot of our pitchers need confidence right now. So respectfully I think we need more of it

travel ball culture has taken over at all levels, wasn't too long ago that any showing up of an opponent, after a strikeout or a home run, would result in the next batter being beaned by the opposing pitcher, and a bean ball war ensuing

You can be a competitor and still play with some component of sportsmanship. And you are right, often times there are moments where raw emotion takes over. For example, Jones lingering in the box last year watching his tying HR against Arkansas in the bottom of the 8th of the CWS. That's a huge moment in a huge game. Or Floyd striking out Caglione in the bottom of the 8th in a tie game in Game 1 of the Finals. Raw emotion takes over...and no one really has an issue with it.

But I'm talking about the DBs (not just on LSU's team) who are excessively pimping HRs in the 2nd inning of a midweek game in February. Or pitchers shite talking batters after a K while up 5 in the 6th inning vs. an overmatched opponent. That's not raw emotion. That's just being a douchebag
