Life seems very long and life seems very short.

I know it seems like more of a blur since I turned 40, but also I think it has something to do with being online all the time, living a digital life more and more.

this. I have read time lapses occur from doom scrolling and living in a digital reality, so to speak.

Yes. As I navigate my way through my 40's this becomes more and more true with every passing day. Well said.

Because most of America spent three of those six years balled up in a catatonic state on the sofa hiding from a virus that only affected people who were old or sick or both.

It hasn't ended for a lot of people. I work in a downtown area of a mid-size college town and I still see a handful of people here and there walking around.....outside.....wearing masks.

I joked with a college buddy in 2020 that some people would still be wearing masks in 2025 and here we are.

Pushing 50 now, and agreed, and guilty as charged. Working on trying to make a better effort to unplug and decouple from the webs more often.

If you don't already have the hobby/addiction, I recommend fishing. There's no better way to relax, re-center yourself and slow the passage of time. My time in nature, on the water, is what brings me back closer to GOD when I often drift away and fail Him.

Time flies when you have an illegitimate puppet regime installed in the middle of the greatest presidency of the modern era.
