I think Trump is giving Iran every opportunity to negotiate an agreement to avoid conflict and to further stabilize the ME......the mullahs have a decision to make.

We created the modern Iran. They were kept in check 100% when Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq and the entire middle-east was afraid of him. But of course we had to gaslight the American President (W.) and people into going to war over weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that didn't exist, and removing the leader that had kept the entire region in check years after he had learned his lesson and been put in his place.
We created problems so we can fix them and keep the Military Industrial Complex well-fed. Yay us!
I'm still incredibly skeptical about Iran being "so close" to having a nuke now. Even back when Obama was President* through today, I can distinctly remember being told over and over again that "iRaN iS JuSt mOnThS aWaY fRoM HaViNg a NuKe". I don't believe anything any more. Yes, the Iran Regime are a bunch of evil people and their intentions aren't good, but I've still seen no evidence that they were using their centrifuges to enrich for nefarious purposes. But I don't trust them either, so I definitely would not claim with certainly that it's not their ultimate goal.
Fact is, we cannot let them get nukes, and it's just that simple. Whether we like it or not, the regime we empowered must now be kept in check.

Iran needs to cut a deal with China and get nukes today. Unfortunately its the only way they will be able to protect themselves from the countries constantly attacking them who have nukes.

Ukraine would have been invaded within weeks had they refused to give up their nukes.

I'm sure the US diplomats who are trying to cut a deal with the mullahs know the mullahs are not 100% trustworthy......the mullahs still have a decision to make.
