Iran Has Zero Incentives to Make a Deal Over the Next “10 Days” - Who Can Blame Them

Let’s quickly review the timeline:
1. Trump unilaterally breaks the 2015 nuclear deal and subsequently imposes massive sanctions.
2. Sanctions eventually lead to severe civil unrest, resulting in the 2026 protests.
3. Trump gave the green light for Israel to attack Iran amid ongoing nuclear talks, and then bombs Iran’s nuclear facilities.
4. Protesters take to the streets in January 2026 and Trump encourages them to topple the regime and promised U.S. military support to this goal.
5. Trump then demands a new nuclear deal.
Iran has zero trust in the U.S. Tehran also knows it benefits from a long-term war because any acquiesces to Trump’s demands means regime change is more likely (if not certain) and the longer any conflict takes, the more certain it is our current Arab regional allies will abandon us.
Trump is bluffing and the Iranians know it. Unless you are a forever war RINO, the current strategy is not exactly out of a Diplomacy 101 textbook…

Imagine thinking the Mullah's deserve any diplomacy.
I'm not going to bullet point you out a list as to why because if you dont already know after 40 years of this shite with Iran I dont know what to tell you. The "John Kerry" school of diplomacy is dead. Big Daddy Rubio laid it out for you, we are going to lead.

As others that frequent this board, you assume you are fully informed about this situation. It's highly likely Trump's actions are based on information not made public.
It comes down to trusting Trump, or not.
Your above listed "reasons" mean nothing to me.

Then why do we keep talking about it. Since everyone knows trump wants regime change or to just blow Iran off the map, what 7-year olds are left, thinking otherwise?

Ask Maduro if Trump was bluffing.

Living is usually a pretty good incentive to make a deal but Muslims don't care if they live or die.

“Deserve diplomacy” has nothing to do with it. The fact is that the Iranians won’t
negotiate in the way we or Trump use the term. I spent a week in The Hague in a small conference room with Iranian
representatives as part of the resolution of private claims arising from the seizure of American assets during the hostage crisis. It may be that their government will risk war rather than appear to capitulate. By the way, didn’t we essentially destroy their nuclear program already? That’s what we were told.

We don’t actually know the damage because of inability to conduct on-site inspections. All we can rely on is standard battle damage assessment using satellites.
That’s why we still need diplomacy - we’re unsure of what was damaged because we don’t really know what existed before the strikes.
All of this was possible under the 2015 nuclear deal. This was summarily torn up without any congressional input.

Only a retard would think Trump is bluffing…

And the U.S. rightly has zero trust in them.

They knew the deal they made with Obama would not last because it was a really bad deal for any country not named Iran.

And? That's kinda the point to the sanctions. If you want the sanctions to end, make a deal.
quote:
Trump gave the green light for Israel to attack Iran amid ongoing nuclear talks, and then bombs Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Iran was not willing to make a deal.

I have little doubt there has been covert help. And unless the current government plays let's make a deal there may well be overt help.

I mean your order is all screwed up. He demanded a new deal before he got out of the shitty Obama deal.

Kinda strange. I say the opposite. Trump does what he says. Make a deal or you will be bombed. What do you think? Do they trust that?
quote:
Tehran also knows it benefits from a long-term war
Honestly your ideas are just wrong. No one benefits from a long term war.
But more so, the current regime is holding on by a thread. The irgc is keeping them in power. When they are weakened and leave, the current regime will fall.
They really are not in a good place.

Trump is bluffing and the Iranians know it.
That is where you are wrong.
Trump doesn't really bluff about this. He hates ordering strikes that will kill people. He much prefers making deals.
And yes, the current regime is used to blistering from democratic presidents.
But they should see that Trump is different. He will make a deal and let you pretend like you won. He doesn't care. But if you don't make a deal he usually has lots of levers to pull.
With iran, he only had one more lever. And they know what it is. They know this isn't a bluff. They are unsure of what to do. Trump will make up their mind if they don't.

Don’t worry, our ninjas are gonna be inspecting the frick out of those sites up close and personal in a couple of weeks.
Whether or not the Iranian leadership trusts us is irrelevant.

Iran’s mullah’s incentive is if they don’t make a deal they won’t exist any longer and will most likely assume room temp.

Pssst...this film began much, much earlier than your timeline...don't be so silly
