They don't dry clothes quicker, they don't replace dryer sheets, they do nothing except make the laundry louder.

Ladies of the OT, with all due respect, please explain what this nonsense is.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

And they get caught in the arms of long sleeve shirts.

They supposedly fluf the clothes when drying making them feel softer.

Sheets used to much will put a chemical film on the filter and drum.

Dryer sheets anymore aren't about "static cling"... they're about scent.

I use 4 balls and no dryer sheet.

Works much better than no balls and a sheet.

Works just as good as balls and a sheet.

Dryer balls rock.

So I am correct. And the balls do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

They work for static.

Don't do shite for scent.

I use them to cut down on static.

Dryer sheets are bad because they coat clothes, skin, and appliance sensors in waxy chemicals, leading to reduced dryer efficiency, potential fire hazards from lint trap clogging, and skin or respiratory irritation.

Sheets suck. Balls good. Ya heard?

Meh. We use them. There is no static and I don't have to deal with the shitty dryer sheets sticking to clothes, winding up in sheets, or some random place on the house/floor. They're fine with me.

Why does a man married man know anything about a dryer? That's not your domain, stick to the yard, attic and garage, let your ol' lady worry about the inside.

I am pushing back. They don't do anything. In fact, they are counter productive.

1- Clothes do not dry faster

2- They make loud sounds

Please defend your position.

Is you "on the spectrum"?

We are tellin you they reduce static cling. Ain't nobody in this thread say they reduce drying time.

Shut the daggum door where your dryer is if the minuscule sound annoys you.

Balls do help cloths dry faster by spreading out the clothes while drying. Not clumping together = faster drying time. Don’t even need to use the ones they sell for drying- a couple of tennis balls will work too.
