Damn. I didn’t realize he had ALS.

I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.

My mom is at the end stages of ALS and it is a terrible thing to watch. Seriously, its inhumane that we allow people to go through the end stage of this disease.

There is nothing wrong with her mind, yet she can't do anything for herself. She can no longer communicate, its at the point where when she shakes her head you can't tell if its a yes or a no. She can't move. She is on hospice. She was diagnosed in November 2024.. He is 53 and I think it was months since diagnosed. I don't know where he lived or what the laws are, but I wonder if it was assisted suicide? That would be the best way to go.

My mom actually said, when she could still talk, she wish should could take a pill, go to sleep and just never wake up. As much as you don't want to see your mother pass, seeing her suffer.. Its like living hell for her.

Saw his interview with Diane Sawyer last year. Didn’t realize the disease was progressing so quickly. RIP.

It’s such an awful disease. My SO was telling me about this guy I had never heard of and he succumbed in less than two years. Lou Gehrig died within about two years. Gleason has had it for like 15 years and Stephen Hawking lived with it for like 55 years. It’s weird how it attacks the body.

He played Dr, Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy for many seasons and most recently also played Cal Jacobs on HBOs Euphoria.

ALS and Alzheimer's can KMHA. Have watched friends and family suffer from both and it is so heartbreaking to watch them suffer.

I watched that series a year or 2 ago. It was a good show. The book it is based on is good as well.

It is. I hope no one ever gets it again and no person ever has to watch a loved one suffer and die from it. It is brutal.
