With Unsupervised FSD ,you’ll be able to sleep, do work, watch movies, and even play games as the car is driving you to your destination.

Or you could buy a bunch and start a business.

quote:

Tesla intends for individuals to purchase Cybercabs and operate them as autonomous ride-share vehicles in a Tesla-managed robotaxi network.

Commercial Operation: Owners can add their vehicles to a Tesla-operated ride-hailing network, similar to an Uber-like service.

Targeted Functionality: The vehicle is purpose-built for high-density, low-cost autonomous transportation, with a projected cost under and aimed at creating a new income stream for owners.

Anyone considering one? If I had a daily commute, I would consider one.

I love my tesla, but the autopilot is so god damn slow. Every baw in a lifted truck is going to ride your arse here in FL

I wonder if we'll ever get to the point that no one owns their own vehicle and the streets are full of auto-driven Uber-type vehicles for hire.

Not if you sit in the passenger seat and sleep or work - you get a time to destination. That’s the $

That sounds incredible. Cannot wait to ask permission to leave my house, assuming I have earned my credits and haven't done anything to upset anyone. Then, get in the queue to wait for my allotted cab to take me for rehydrated food and a stop by the Joy Division.

I’d gladly give up one of our cars and use this as my daily commuter.

This will be an interesting addition. Tesla cars are a pleasure to "drive." I have been behind the wheel in a cybertruck that drove us across Baton Rouge on a game day back to the garage where it lives. It was a freaky experience, but the car had no problem navigating the traffic across town.

I would seriously consider one of these at $30k.

Elon has said from the beginning $30K or less was the goal and reaffirmed it the other day

Few years ago I added a Tesla S to my garage along with my Yukon and work truck for hauling stuff. I've gotten rid of all my other fun vehicles, because there's nothing that compares to the power, smooothness and acceleration of the S. I love the styling, and I have free supercharging for life included in mine.

I took it on a road trip using advanced autopilot, and it really soured me on driving my Yukon that I kept for out-of-town trips. You can make it commit crimes by programming how aggressive it drives and how fast over the posted limit you can go. I literally watch movies and surf the web while it drives highway speeds. The computer in the vehicle optimizes your stops on trips where you aren't sitting at a charger for longer than you need to be, and you can preview which restaurants and shops are located walking distance from the chargers.

I have been a car guy my entire life, and this makes me not really care to drive a regular internal combustion engine vehicle.

More likely Tesla will know you need a ride before you do and will have a car heading your way.
