Have You Filled Your 2025 Income Taxes ?

Looking at my latest ADP paystub I pay $327.17 every two weeks in Federal Income Taxes.
File 2025 and I owe $1,000.00.
Makes me feel great knowing some Illegal or Somali will benefit from my pain.

Yes I FILED my taxes. The standard deduction is higher than 2024.

Not me. I'm pissed about the huge amount I paid throughout the year. My tax return is just getting a little of my own hard earned money back. I'd feel a little better about it if I thought it were actually being used responsibly.

Yes.
The annoying thing is the increase in the standard deduction on the federal side was listed as additional taxable income on the SC side, because our General Assembly sits on their asses and don't do anything.

You should adjust your W4, if you owe more than 1K dollars two years in a row you will owe a penalty.
Either that or start making quarterly payments.

I had a dependent fall off this year, he turned 19 and made 22K so I couldn't claim him.

Getting about $3,500 back from the Feds for 2025. I typically use itemized deduction.

Yes.
Got $1400 back. I would be happy, but this just means that I likely overpaid by $2000 and Uncle Sam is robbing me blind.
