Recent polling shows nearly 53% of Democrats consider themselves Democratic Socialists

I was watching War Room this morning and independent pollster Rich Baris was sharing some of his recent polling with the War Room audience.
Baris' recent polling shows nearly 53% of Democrats now consider themselves Democratic Socialists. The highest demographic for people who identify as Democratic Socialists are people 35 and under. The lowest percentage are people over age 65 but even those over age 65 do not necessarily view Democratic Socialism as a concern. Earlier in the segment Bannon played a vid clip from CNN that showed over 43% of Democrats under age 35 consider themselves Democratic Socialist. That's when Baris presented his polling. Baris said CNN's poll is just a little bit off at 43%, it's closer to 60% for Democrat voters under age 35 who identify as Democratic Socialists and collectively around 53% of Democrats consider themselves Democratic Socialists.
You know, it took over 100 years but the socialists/Marxists/communists, who infested academia have accomplished their goal of indoctrinating the past 3-4 generations into accepting the infamous Fundamental Transformation of America that Obama spoke of.
Yes, Obama's version of "I Have A Dream" was/is the Fundamental Transformation of America into a Cultural Marxism hellscape via academia, who taught several generations of Americans to embrace socialism/Marxism/communism.

Functionally what does that really mean though? They probably want some form of universal health coverage which seems pretty sane.
They might want things like maternity leave mandated. Also not that crazy.
The United States is one of the only countries where these things aren't the norm. And if you think we're better for it then that's your opinion.

Essentially it means people are increasingly wanting Big Titty Mama government to provide for them, cradle to the grave. I'm sure a call for UBI will be part of the Democratic Socialist platform in the not too distant future, it probably already is.

Obama didn't start this but he weaponized it.
I'd be ok with suspending the constitution for a while so we can fix this mess. We're certainly not going to be able to fix it under the current system we have now. They knew this and that's why they did what they did.

10% of those actually know what Socialism means.
They just keep crowing what they hear their master say

Absolutely!
Where Obama gets credit is his bold and unashamed call for the Fundamental Transformation of America. Could be mere coincidence but since Obama's call to fundamentally transform America into a Cultural Marxism hellscape there sure has been a notable surge in transgender confusion in the US....hmmmm?

That's cute that it would be just for "a while."

That works in countries with working, small, hegemonic populations. The countries where that's been a "success" are now struggling. NHS comes to mind.
Other countries are offering suicide as healthcare.
Other country's citizens are coming here for care because they can get it quicker.

Already is a thing... oh, you want it mandated and mandated to be paid?

I certainly wouldn't travel to Canada or Britain for healthcare... but you do you.

No. I'm suggesting that people that identify as democratic socialists probably want mandated paid maternity leave. I don't think that's as crazy as it sounds.

good thing you don't think that is all they want or I would consider you more of a dumbass than I always do.

...and yet, only a minutia of those would be able to define it.
Also, when Sanders, Mandami, and Tits Magee Cortes are your spokes people, then you really have to wonder.

I want to live in a high trust society where those policies make sense and would work out for the betterment of the average person. Do you think we live in such a society? Do you think it achievable?

I don't see our current healthcare system as something to be admired
Do you?

Democratic socialism is just an intellectually honest version of our current system where capitalism is still the default economic system, representative democracy is still the form of government, but the government has a larger welfare system that is more unified, connected, and available for all citizens.
What democrats want is:
Universal healthcare via the single payer model (no insurance companies, all public run).
Universal pre-k/daycare for all pre-school aged children so that parents can go back to work after parental leave is expended.)
Universal public schools (all public, no private schools, no tuition, free lunch for all students)
Universal higher education (all public, no tuition, access based on merit/ability)
More european style standards of leave for workers (guaranteed maternity leave, more guaranteed vacation days, stronger worker protections).
Retirement benefits guaranteed by government rather than private employers.
Basically, the idea is that the government has cradle to grave entitlements which take care of your education, healthcare, and retirement independent of your employer. Your employer, in exchange for no longer having to provide those things, gives the worker significantly more PTO and parental leave.
This is what the average democrat wants. On its face, it seems quite reasonable until one starts to seriously examine how much it would cost to do

Who pays Cindy Lou's salary while Widgets, inc. is paying the salary of her fill-in?
If Widgets, inc. wants to offer that as a benefit package, that's fine... but if they can't afford a double salary cost for 12wks for an employee, who pays?
Maybe Widgets, inc. simply avoids hiring breeding aged females.

This is the frightening part.
Schools are indoctrinating the young. Instead of teaching them, they are creating little socialist activists.

Yes, clearly history shows us that all socialists want is paid maternity leave and they’re set.
Your party is now the party of AOC.

The results of a question like that is entirely dependent on where in the nation it's asked......
