Yes, I remember back early 90s and having a game in December against #1 UCLA right after finals ended. I could t get in because the student section was maxed out. Had to go to the bar and watch it

I was at LSU from 1977-1981 with Daddy Dale... it was glorious.

I’m old enough to remember our 1980-1982 run under Dale Brown. Those ere teams of real characters and intense competitors…Ethan Martin at the point, Rudy Macklin at PF, Dwayne “ Astronaut” Scales at SF, Greg “Cookieman” Cook at C, Howard “High C” Carter at SG, Willie “Jet” Sims ar the best 6th Man in the SEC, Al Green, Jordy “Lefty” Hultberg and Johnny “the Bullet” Jones off the bench. It’s an era when a packed and loud Deaf Dome emerged. Students would camp out in line all around the PMAC to assure they got one of the limited student seats

I remember a game in the Dale era against DePaul when they were a national powerhouse and led by Mark Aguirre. LSU trailed much of the game and had a chance to win in the closing seconds but for a jumper by Ice Reynolds that missed from the free throw stripe. Anyway, it was a heart pumping contest and after the final whistle they cut the audio for several seconds with only the chants of LSU reverberating in the PMAC. Proof that if you build it they will come.

When i was a kid I remember watching the guy flip off the student section. Didn't he play for Florida or Tennessee? The crowd was rocking that day

I was a 12 yo Tigah doing the same thing Drizz.

It sucks Rudy wasn't 100% healthy, I would have loved our chances in Philly.

Sadly, they don't postpone the games so you can get healthy though.

Florida. Dwayne Schintzius. Or “Shithead Schintzius” as we regaled him that day. Our game was a week or so after he had gotten into trouble for assaulting someone with a tennis racket.

I remember the 06 game when Texas A&M with Acie Law came to the PMAC. I think it was a top 10 matchup. PMAC was rocking. I was sitting up in the 200s and it was still a blast.

It’s a shame that McMahon has decimated this program. Those type of atmospheres are nothing but a distant memory under this fraud.
