What films best encapsulates what the 90s were all about? fashion, music, design, technology, news, mood, atmosphere, etc?

Not a fan of it but this was the first to come to mind

There are some great movies in here that don't come close to OP's description. A lot of people are just naming great movies from the 90's instead of movies that represent 90's culture.

Matrix? LOL
Lion King? LOL

All the Sandler/Spade/Farley movies listed are good examples for mid to late 90's.

All of the Jim Carey movies pre-2000 represent the 90's well, except the Truman Show which is more of a fantasy-land kind of movie, probably more 50's Leave it to Beaver culture than 90's culture.

Every Jon Cusack movie from the 90's.
