Why are Trump and Landry supporting Letlow?

She has literally done nothing in her time. Fleming should be the easy choice

Have you taken a look at Bill Cassidy? This isn’t rocket science. Most likely choosing young over old.

Let's assume Letlow is a centrist instead of hard right. If she wins this race she will know that it is only because of Trump. She'll vote the way Trump tells her to vote.

Also, this Letlow silliness increases the chance Cassidy can slide by in the primary. Trump and Landry supporting the person who shouldn't be in the race and may cause damage was not the best strategy

Landry is the one that got Trump to endorse her, Landry thinks he can be the puppet master I suppose... also Fleming is saying Landry is doing this so in the end he can become the senator and Landry will appoint her Prez of some university, but that's probably just sour grapes from Fleming because he knows he's going to lose

Could it be that Trump and Landry know that Fleming is easily the front runner but they don’t want Cassidy to slip in at second and in the runoff and possibly win so they need Letlow in at second?
