Is it ok to park like this or should I be forced to park away from the sidewalk and walk an extra 50ft?

Is it anything like talking on a "phone" during a movie etiquette?

How about just not backing into spots?

Yea yea I know... it's allegedly safer.

It's kind of a dick move to block a sidewalk.

While uncouth, it's pretty low on my list of driving peeves.

As long as you aren't worried about some scratches or dents on the back there. Someone catches that with a shin and they may lash out.

Looks like fine parking to me. Plenty of space to walk around or ride bike around the side.

You know that the front end of the truck would also hang over the sidewalk, right?

With trucks getting larger and parking spots getting smaller, it's just easier to back in.

Personal opinion if you have a rig that big I wouldn’t park against the sidewalk simply because of the hitch overlap.

One of the reasons is jerkoffs that see it then throw shite at your car or in your tailgate. It kind of makes you a target in a way.

How 'bout you stop being lazy and take the ball off for the 98% of time you're driving without a trailer behind you?

Yea, that's a dick move.

Having a truck similar to that I know that you can pull up to where the ball is just at or past the edge of the sidewalk and you're still not sticking out in the lane of the parking lot.

Secure that shite.

Bumper isn't as bad as a hitch to the shin.

I see a mobile trash bin overhanging the sidewalk.

If its a sidewalk that people actually use, I dont park like that. You can still back in just stick out further. If its a sidewalk thats overgrown and obviously nobody uses it, then go ahead.

Turn that ball around or take it out as well.

Subtle I live in the ghetto and drive a big truck because Section 8 saves me money.
