The 216-215 House vote was to adopt a rule advancing the SAVE America Act for floor consideration, not final passage of the bill. Rep. Massie voted no on the rule but has stated he will vote yes on the bill itself.

Anytime they vote, we get a record. I appreciate knowing their voting record on important bills.
Why Massie made that vote, I do not know.

They didn’t vote on the bill

If that vote had failed, the bill would have been tabled. Because it passed, the floor vote for the bill will occur.
Were you scared?

I would like to know how much pork is in the bill.

Will the good people of Kentucky please do us all a favor and vote this clown Massie out of office. I do not think this guy is well anyway.
I mean I get it he hates Trump. There are several R’s that disagree or just down right hate Trump though without all the grandstanding and antics. Please Kentucky voters get rid of this guy.

Does any of this matter? There’s no way in hell the Senate is passing that bill.

For clarification, today’s earlier vote in the House was a procedural vote that advanced the SAVE Act — along with three other measures — to a full House vote: Rep. Massie says he didn't vote against the Save America Act, but against a rule…
Massie voted against a procedural rule tied to the SAVE Act because of concerns over a stealth rules change that allows spending bills to come to the floor without the now-required 24-hour notice. Thomas Massie regularly opposes bills that include problematic provisions, extraneous spending, or other hidden “Easter eggs.”
Yet Massie supports the requirement for proof of citizenship to vote and stated that he would support the SAVE Act when it comes to the final floor vote. And Massie apparently did just that:
House passes SAVE America Act, sending Trump-backed election bill to the Senate: The legislation would overhaul federal election laws in all 50 states by imposing new voter ID and proof-of-citizenship requirements. But it faces a daunting path in the Senate.
WASHINGTON — The Republican-controlled House voted Wednesday to pass the SAVE America Act, a sweeping election bill that President Donald Trump is pushing Congress to enact.
The vote was 218-213, with Republicans unanimously voting in favor and all but one Democrat voting against it…

He voted no and will vote yes when it counts
Then at election time he will tell his leftist constituents he voted no. And will tell his conservative ones he voted yes

You damn right it matters. America gets to see who does not want Voter ID real soon, just before a few are perp walked for criminal activity.

The Senate better not let us down. This would be the game changer we need. Massive if we get it.
I wish it could outlaw maIl ballots for fed offices too. But if you have to prove by ID to get a mail ballot thats better than nothing
