I don't think that's real.

Eta: Why JUST the Epstein files? Why wasn't this done with JFK Files?

Ehhhhhhhhh. If these files are copies made after the redaction... that can't be done. Not with 5, 25, or 1,025 lines of code.

If these are pdfs that were redacted and then just put out there in pdf form, I wouldn't doubt that could be done.

This would be a gross negligence type of thing. Someone would had to have wanted the information released.

Digitally redacting info on documents is basic and impossible to undo.

Should have said “grown man falls for clickbait bullshite and reposts it without doing any due diligence but feels like he’s dunked on 47”

That's not how that works.

99% of software that does redaction type annotations will create a separate image of the document with the annotation - it's not any type of "layer" that can be removed or anything of the sorts.

This is why unfettered social media sucks

AI is just going to make this worse for older people.

If you can write a few lines of code to unredact the documents, you can certainly write a few lines of code that digitally redacts the names.

If you have access to pdf and the document, you wouldn't need any code. You could just place the redactions. There is a function for that. But I imagine all that stuff is pretty controlled as it relates to those files.

But if these documents were redacted in .pdf.. and then scanned or printed. No code is going to unredact that. Even just going from pdf to an image file. There is no data left to work with after that.
